The Top Five Results My Clients Have Achieved Are
- They change their relationship with food. They have a better understanding of healthy whole food nutrition, the connection between the food they eat, the affect on food on their health and the way they feel. They lose weight without dieting, deprivation or an obsessive focus on food. When they do eat foods that they consider to be "less healthy", they do so without feeing bad in the way they used to, because they acknowledge they made a conscious choice to eat that food, and they enjoy doing so, and then go back to eating healthfully sooner than they would have in the past. They enjoy eating and preparing more healthful food.
- They become aware of their thoughts, actions and emotions and how these things affect the choices they make. They break through blocks that don't serve their ability to take good care of themselves. They let go of negative self-talk which frees up their energy to focus on experiencing their life more fully.
- They become more comfortable with, happy in and trusting of their bodies.
- They understand the mind-body connection better and are better able to balance the physical, social, occupational, emotional, spiritual, intellectual areas of their life.
- They manage stress better and give themselves more down time. They "treat" themselves to "feel-good self-care" on a more regular basis, prioritizing themselves in a more healthful and balanced way, as well as creating balance in other areas in their life.

Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching
- One of the most substantial benefits of doing this Program was that I got off caffeine. My blood sugar is now stable, I feel calmer, less irritable, my hand condition and TMJ have improved, and I’m sleeping better. It was so helpful that I was able to do some reading from her library and make my own choices (about caffeine). I take psyllium husks almost daily and that makes me feel better. I am cooking more, am better informed when eating in restaurants and excited about trying new fruits and veggies. I am exercising more. I am aware of when I’m stress eating/eating for comfort. I have a greater awareness of how all aspects of my life are interconnected as a result of doing the Wheel of Life Exercise. I really enjoyed the health food store tour. I was exposed to things I didn’t know about, and it was helpful because those stores are often so crowded around here that it’s intimidating to go in and just browse when a bunch of people are waiting for you to move. Anne worked with me to figure out and accomplish what it is I really wanted. I now feel I have a greater level of acceptance with myself as I am, and a definite feeling that I am progressing in healthier choices. I feel less guilty when I do the things I have to do for myself now with the little kids (like take a nap). I am more able to look at myself, and my progress, as a process- rather than an all-or-nothing, single destination kind of thing. The Program is so individually tailored that I felt all along like whatever I needed could be accommodated. Anne is a great coach because she comes with full support and without judgment, no matter what. I felt like I had all the support in the world as I learned about myself, and how I wanted to be. I became a bit more accountable, a lot more informed, and healthier.

- Anne's Program made me more aware of my body and eating. I've learned that what I eat affects what I think and feel. As a result, I feel more conscious about healthy living and I am now interested in learning other ways of keeping my body at ease. Friends see a complete change in me for the better.
-- Mark T., Jersey City, NJ
- I've struggled with sugar cravings most of my life. I came to Anne seeking a way to have a healthier relationship with food. Over time, and with Anne gently guiding me along the way she introduced me to a new way of eating and thinking about food that was perfect for me. Many of the easy, delicious recipes she shared have become staples in our house. Now I have a better handle on cravings and enjoy making smarter choices about food.

- I am grateful that our work together was not just about weight control, but about a healthier way of every aspect of life. I've learned to make better food choices, cook more and eat more vegetables. Food has become less of an obsession and I've lost more than 30 lbs. My cravings are under control, I've cleared the clutter, have a much better self-image, feel calmer and stronger. I feel more capable to have a satisfying relationship. Anne is a patient gentle listener who does not jump into the conversation with meaningless platitudes, rushing in to "fix" me. I always feel that she truly listens to me and hears what I say. She has introduced me to new ideas, new authors, and new foods. The assignments are something solid on which I can focus between our sessions. As I look back over the last several months, I can see that the results of my consultations with Anne have been increasingly positive and cumulative.
-- Susan A., Jersey City, NJ
- Anne helped me demystify some areas of nutritious foods for me. I'm more conscious of food's nutritional values and more self-aware of eating patterns. Despite a high level of work related stress, I've managed to stay on a pretty even keel. Anne is a very open-minded coach. She is a good listener, non-judgmental and very perceptive.
-- Melissa A., Hoboken, NJ
- I lost 20 pounds and have developed a much healthier perspective about eating, exercising, and cooking. I am much more open-minded and enjoy experimenting with healthier choices in all areas of my life. I have learned to enjoy eating to nourish my body as opposed to eating emotionally, and my cravings are under control. I used to worry about staying motivated. I no longer worry, because I have learned to take care of myself. I know that I am in control of my choices, and feel good about making healthier choices for myself. My mood is happier, my energy level is higher, and I've taken up yoga for relaxation. Anne is extremely supportive, motivating, and positive. I felt as if I could do nothing wrong in her eyes, even when I didn't feel that way about myself. That is a rare gift-- Thank you!
-- Deborah G., Hoboken, NJ
- Anne is an honest, caring and supportive coach. There is ZERO judgement around my choices (lifestyle or eating), only questions to have me look at everything for myself. With Anne's support, I have been able to be very honest with myself and reflective on how I am choosing to live. She allows me to move forward at my own pace and holds up a mirror for me to look at my life in. Our conversations have allowed me to reasess my belief systems, articulate what is happening to me, and feel positive aobut the process. I am eating more natural foods and less processed foods, and I consider my self-care as a permanent part of my life.
-- Lynn H., Syracuse, NY
- As a result of Anne's Program, I've cut out coffee, sugar, salt, diet soda and artificial sweeteners, have a greater appreciation of food (especially new vegetables– kale and wheatgrass), and lost 17 lbs. I have more energy, vitality and strength, less fuzzy thinking and increased self-esteem. I believe that I can make changes. Anne is patient, compassionate and knowledgeable.

- I'm dealing with infertility, so the specific aspects of the Program most beneficial to me were the discussions around infertility/miscarriage and food and emotions. As a result of her Program, I read the book Inconceivable, learned about Resolve, attended a Resolve conference, and started acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Anne has great ideas and feedback about the food you eat and the food you don’t eat with lots of recipes to try.
I now feel healthier and more balanced with energy. I’ve learned to read organic labels, I'm making better organic food choices, buying more organic fruits and vegetables, making more menu variety and found new foods to eat. I made the vegetarian chili and liked it! I really enjoyed the discussions about grains– flax, bulgar, wheat berries, amaranth and quinoa. I cooked with buckwheat flour and learned how to cook steel oats. I am also reading labels more closely for sugar and I made lemon cookies that are a healthier alternative to other snacks. I found an excellent dark chocolate for cravings. I learned to store olive oil in the refrigerator and throw out the old stuff. I cut out caffeine and learned that protein breakfasts are better for me. I would describe my experience doing this program as enjoyable, fun and educational.

- I came to Anne because I was involved with IVF and wanted to know what foods I should eat whilst going through it. I came out learning a lot more. We built a very nice professional relationship and I loved working with her. I found it extremely helpful to discuss with someone other than family or friends what I was feeling and going through during IVF. The Program made me much stronger as a person, so I continued working with her even after I stopped IVF. She is a great listener and mentor and she is not just a nutritionist, focusing only on food. She gives you a different perspective on food and wellness, covering all the bases. I loved learning about Primary/Secondary Food and understanding how balance affects overall well-being. Doing the Wheel of Life Exercise was very eye-opening. As a result of her Program, I am drinking more water, I am more aware of certain foods and I'm really thinking about what goes into my body. I concentrated on new foods and veggies and had no more cravings for Nutella, stopped eating so much milk and cheese (which also helped with stomach issues) and drank less lattes, so I lost about 10-15 lbs after IVF. The cooking classes were sooo enjoyable. She gave me topics to look into and each week she asked, “What nice thing have you done for yourself? I now make sure that I see friends on a regular basis, go to spas and have regular massages. It’s important to take care of yourself and relax whilst going through a hard time and keep it going afterwards. I always looked forward to doing what was set for the following week. It was a great Program, very empowering for me. I valued everything that I learnt, a lot of which will be carried through my life.
-- Rebecca P., Bloomfield, NJ
- Working with Anne during my first pregnancy has been a very soothing experience. She has a gentle, patient way of nudging or encouraging self-discovery about my diet, health and well-being in general, and especially my mental state at this most frenetic and challenging time of life. I particularly enjoyed our coooking session, and I feel I am learning some common sense approaches to maintaining a natural healthy lifestyle.

Hands-On Healthy Cooking Classes
- Daily life takes us to many places where we meet different kinds of people. We buy from them
sell to them, manage them, negotiate with them, entertain them, give and seek advice and so forth. We usually have a goal in mind and we use our abilities and experience to achieve a desired outcome. But during these events, we rarely really talk to the people we meet. Anne's cooking classes are different. The atmosphere during the classes I have taken conjure up images of what I image it must have been like when women worked together to cook, wash, mend, quilt, etc. in the past. We worked, talked and shared a bit of ourselves. It was a delightful experience.
Anne provides a multi-course menu and the recipes for preparing each dish. Each person is responsible for a menu item. Yes, there is a goal: to prepare the meal and eat it. But during the process, a warm exchange of pasts, presents and even futures float around the room with the wonderful, sometimes unusual smells of the cooking. Then we sit and eat, commenting on each course, praising the cook and planning to make it again. Because we see how each course is prepared it is easier to replicate than merely reading a recipe. Plus you immediately know whether you like it or not.
And the food is a surprise. The recipes are vegetarian. I couldn't imagine loving vegetarian food. I have never been inside a vegetarian restaurant and didn't own a vegetarian cookbook prior to taking the class. I have been very pleasantly surprised. I have bought several vegetarian cookbooks and a pressure cooker, and although I will never become a vegetarian, my mind has opened to the possibilities of vegetarian food. I often cook it and really enjoy it, thanks to Anne and my terrific cooking mates!

- Wanted to thank you again, let you know how much I enjoyed your cooking class (not tomention the left-overs). You had asked me to think about how I felt the next day. I feel good-- (physically) and motivated to learn more about how to utilize healthier, organic food options (for a variety of health reasons). I will be speaking to a few friends who I believe will be interested in joining us in another class.
-- Deborah G, Hoboken, NJ
- Anne's cooking classes are a rare and exceptional experience. She creates an atmosphere of
acceptance, fun and adventure. All you need to do is show up and she presents you with a beautiful well thought-out menu and carefully chosen fresh organic ingredients. She is right there encouraging and guiding inexperienced hands as you do the cooking, and she gives each person full praise and credit for the dish they choose to make. Then she sets a beautiful table and everyone eats in silence for the first few minutes to fully experience the flavors and textures of the fresh food. We then discuss each dish and each person tells what they think of "their creation", and how they might change it when they make it at home, encouraging us to be creative and make the meal our own. I have seen myself and others come in the class, none too happy and even in physical pain, and during the dinner watched a happiness and ease come over each person. I experienced immediate relief from severe back pain after eating a meal we cooked in her class, proof that food is medicine.
